Pro Singles Class Delivers More Action Than We Bargained For
During the second of three Pro Singles heat races, multiple riders piled up on the back side of the jump. The first rider turned sideways in the air coming off the jump, which made the bike swap violently upon landing. This caused the rider to high-side, which sent his bike tumbling down the track.
The second rider involved, seen here in the photo, went over the handlebars when he ran into the first rider’s bike. With bikes and riders on the ground, others were trying to squeeze past and dodge each other.
A third rider, who was trying to slow down, had nowhere to go but directly into the mayhem, where he ran into one of the fallen bikes. This of course put him down also.

Henry Wiles Wins His 8th Consecutive AMA Grand National TT at PMC
The big news of the day in the Expert Class was Henry Wiles extending his streak by winning his 8th consecutive AMA Grand National Championship TT race at PMC. This tied Chris Carr’s record for consecutive wins. Carr had a total of 13 Grand National TT wins at Peoria during his career. In a post-race interview, Henry said he was very happy for the win. After seeing the track and finishing third in the Dash for Cash, he told Jared Mees that it might be his day to take it. Whatever changes his crew did between the Dash and the Feature paid off, because Henry was able to pull a 6.6 second lead over Mees, by the time the checkers flew.
